"Quirky, irreverent and laugh-out-loud hilarious, Rhonda Nelson speaks my language!" --New York Times bestselling author Vicki Lewis Thompson
Vintage Rhonda Nelson! Though Rhonda is known more recently for her sexy, romantic comedies she began her career writing funny, heart-warming romance for Kensington's Precious Gems line. The books were only sold in Wal-Mart and spent less than a month on the shelves. Now, thanks to the wonderful world of digital publishing, they're available again.
Annie Witherspoon has spent the last five years working toward obtaining the CEO position at Hightower Advertising. She's worked nights and weekends, has sacrificed her practically non-existent social life and kept her eyes on the prize, as it were. Now, thanks to some inconvenient, ill-timed bout of nostalgia, her boss is giving his global playboy nephew a shot at her job. It only adds insult to injury when her own body betrays her in the form of the most virulent case of sexual attraction she's ever experienced. Soon it's more than her job that's at sake--it's her heart as well.
Mitch Hightower isn't nearly the playboy the papers make him out to be and, after the sudden death of his business partner, Mitch feels to need to be closer to his family, to his heritage. When his aging uncle offers him the chance to reclaim the head of the company, Mitch is determined to do just that. But when pitted against Annie Witherspoon to win an important account, Mitch finds himself less concerned with pitching his campaign strategy and more interested in marketing himself...to her

I really got into this story right away. It had good flow and the characters were very believable. The reason I gave it 4 rating, is because of three major things I found lacking.1. The abrupt ending. Yes there was a happily ever after. Or at least I assumed there was, since the author dropped the story right after they professed their dying love for one another and he DID propose after all.
2. The author left us hanging as to who won the CEO position. That was what the whole story was about after all, right?
And last but not least.....
3. Did the company ever win the Hot dog campaign?
All these things were what the story was based on, yet the author left us all out there hanging out to dry on all three major points of the story. My question is why?
Would I recommend this book? Yes, because even though there were some unanswered questions at the end, it was still a very well written story.

The Perfect Proposal edition by Rhonda Nelson Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This was a cute and fun book that was easy to read. I really enjoyed the story line and the writing style of the author. I went on to read more books by this author and recommend anything written by her.
The story line is great I enjoyed the smarty language, comedy and plot...but, the many typos were VERY distracting. Better next time?
The book was a fun read. I enjoyed it and it was very cute. However, with that being said, there were SO many typos and errors in the book I found myself getting frustrated trying to figure out what word was meant or what sentence she was repeating. If I am paying for a book, even .99, it should be edited for things like that at the very least. She does tell a good story but fighting with typos .. that many typos .. is simply annoying.
I have never given a book this low a rating. Couldn't help it. Lots of typos. The books sent women in the work place back to the stone age, the characters were childish and it was screwy. Women is in line for big promotion and nephew who gave said opportunity up 5 yrs previously comes back because he's changed his mind. Uncle says fine, let's have a contest. Whomever snags big advertising campaign gets to be head honcho. Oh, but you have to go to clients ranch and stay in cottage with 1 bedroom,1 big bed and a small tiny couch. This is where they have to spend two weeks while listening to client making crude, snide innuendos about them having sex. Then you get scene where girl stArts to walk into the shower. Guys already in their, with shower off and an erection. She spends some time checking him out, remembers she's nude and grabs shower curtain to cover up and proceeds to fuss because shower is off so she didn't know he was there. Problem, shower previously described as glassed in enclosure that has a shower curtain and should be see through or seriously steamed which in either case should have given girl a hint. Last but not least she accuses him of jerking off he make some crude response, she says not all women find him irresistible he says prove it by kissing him. Of course she does, does some moaning then pushes him away and stutters that he is resistable which I don't think is even a wood. This is all before the halfway mark in the book. Don't think I'll make it any further
Really enjoyed the idea, characters were likable more so at first, but lost some of their strength and confidence in unbelievable ways after 'attraction' hit. Eye roll moment at her dead foot. Independent people don't quit taking care of things and themselves because they're attracted or in love, or they aren't real and will end up divorced.
The author needs to go back and proofread. Puckered brown instead of puckered brow, fist instead of first, there are so many errors in this story I feel insulted reading it. I have to really wonder how no one is mentioning all the errors. It makes reading the story frustrating. I stopped reading it because I was sick of them all, I swear there was at least one on each page and the two mentioned above were a few sentences apart. I am glad I got this book when it was offered free. I'd been even more upset if I paid for such a poorly edited book.
Annie is a strong woman.
Mitch is a carefree man.
The chemistry is okay between these two.
The story is okay. I found it to be a bit far fetched but enjoyable.
Les is the surprising star in this book. I couldn't wait to see what he would do or say next.
